Love 2.0

If I can make it here...

I'm in New York City!! This is all because I'm a character. And with character I mean I will be speaking at Jeff Pulver's 140# Conference. I might not be as well known in The States as I am in the Dutch Twitter community, but I was the first who live streamed my first date with fellow filmmaker and vlogger Gabe Mac. So that's what I'm going to talk about: Love 2.0.

Hope to see you there!

I (HEART) Organizing

I've been on vacation for a month. One of those trips to help you get back to what is important to you, finding yourself etc, the usual cliches. What I've found out about my self is that I need structure. I need to organize my work, my thoughts, my life in general really.

It got me thinking. The most used tool this year for me was Twitter. Jobwise and socially it has completely turned my life around. But there isn't a lot of structure. So I have a suggestion for the social part of it. This is particularly useful in the Netherlands where we use Twitter a lot for lonely lunches, dinners and cups of coffee. But I'm sure it will be useful anywhere else as well.

To get a better overview of who is looking for company at any of these events why not use the almighty hashtag?

I suggest #areacode+event. So if I'm looking for somebody to drink coffee with in Amsterdam I simply post:
#020coffee Anybody up for coffee in De Pijp?

And the same goes for lunch, breakfast, drinks and dinner.
#020lunch
#020dinner
#020breakfast
#020drinks

It will make it a lot easier to find out who around you is looking to meet up.

I HEART Sunset liberation

When we drove up to Battery Park the sky was still blue.

It was freezing, but I wanted to take a picture of Lady Liberty.

When we got out of the car, the sun started to set.

And it was the most beautiful thing I'd ever seen.

Untill I saw this..

And then this. It was breathtaking...

#usatrip day 2: I (HEART) Berkley

The weather was beautiful so Casey went to play soccer with friends in Berkeley and I was able to catch a ride on his Honda Helix scooter. He dropped me off at Telegraph Avenue , I've been there a couple of times before and I just love the atmosphere. I got a bagel at Noah's bagels and wondered onto the Berkeley Campus to eat it. After that I went to do some shopping, worked at Peets coffee and tonight I'm going to have dinner at Casey's parents. Extremely enjoying myself!

#usatrip day 1: I (HEART) San Francisco

Today I explored San Francisco with my good friend Casey.
We took BART to Montgomery and walked into China Town, had some Dim Sum and continued walking, walked through little Italy to Fishermen's Wharf. Grabbed lunch at a diner that used to be a drive-in, ran into @bryanthatcher, which was so weird and cool. Did some (window)shopping. Casey went back to Oakland and I got a double espresso @ Blue Bottle cafe, which was recommended to me by @renn. I had a great day. Now time for a nap...

Couldn't find Max's, but we found another diner Mels' drive-in, American food at it's best.

My favorite, a strawberry shake.

Chiliburger... Casey got a Club Sandwich.
